Frequently asked questions

What products are considered dangerous goods?

Dangerous goods are substances and objects classified in the 9 ADR classes: explosives, gases, flammable liquids, flammable solids, oxidizing substances, toxics, radioactive materials, corrosives and miscellaneous dangerous substances. This includes common industrial products such as paints, lithium batteries, aerosols and many chemicals.

Is it mandatory to have a safety advisor?

Yes, every company involved in the transport of dangerous goods (shippers, carriers, loaders, unloaders) must designate a certified safety advisor according to ADR. We can act as your external advisor, saving you the cost of internal training and certification.

What training do drivers need to transport dangerous goods?

Drivers transporting dangerous goods must hold a valid ADR certificate, renewable every 5 years, specific to the hazard class of the goods. They must also undergo ongoing training in safe handling and emergency procedures.
